Brief
EV Enabled was looking for a new logo, brand identity and website to accompany its already well-respected Electric Vehicle charge point installer service. They wanted a brand image that reflected their helpful, reliable, and professional installation service. The main focus of the website was to guide first-time electric vehicle owners through the process of installation and thereby generate new business – evenabled.co.uk

Process

I started by working with the client to understand the audience demographic to help me create the right logo and branding for EV Enabled.

I created a clean and contemporary logo incorporating a car logo mark with a plug symbolising connection, power and charging. The combination of blue and green colour palettes reassures the customer of nature and the good for the environment. A good foundation for every business’s success is a solid brand identity. To ensure the client’s business image is consistent throughout all visuals I created a branding guidelines manual. This document outlines the company’s visual elements like typography, colour, tone of voice and logo guidelines – view the EV Enabled branding guidelines manual

The final stage of the project was creating the website. Content is key and working alongside the client’s original content gave me the foundation to build on the relevant information that mattered to the end user.  I incorporated relevant keywords throughout the content to help the website rank better on Google. Once the content was signed off the site was designed and built ensuring it flowed well throughout all device screens from desktops and tablets to mobile phones.

Solution

The core challenge of this project was to create an identity that helped the customer understand the service in what is still a relatively new industry. This look and feel would filter down through the website design, social media platforms, livery and all stationery design to result in a consistent professional image.
